Strawberry Peach Pitaya Smoothie Bowl

Smoothie bowls are back in full swing with Summer just around the corner. This strawberry, peach and pitaya bowl is so thick and creamy it could almost pass as ice cream. It’s breakfast that doubles as dessert!

You can keep the recipe simple with just frozen strawberries, banana, pitaya and our Nexba strawberry and peach kefir or if you’re looking to take it up a notch, you can add a superfood booster. Our recommendations include acai berry powder, maqui powder or maca powder.

What are the key health benefits of Pitaya?

  1. High in nutrients and low in calories (deeming it a ‘superfood’)
  2. Good source of magnesium
  3. Contains a good dose of fibre
  4. Promotes good gut health

To turn this recipe into a smoothie rather than a smoothie bowl, simply add more liquid.

Pitaya smoothie Nexba


Servings 1.

1/2 cup frozen strawberries
1 frozen banana
100 grams frozen pitaya
1/2 cup Nexba strawberry and peach kefir
1 tsp acai powder (optional)
Mango, fresh berries and/or fruit of choice (to top)


  1. Combine all ingredients in a high power blender, blend until creamy. Add more Nexba strawberry and peach kefir according to desired consistency. If you’re making a smoothie, we recommend at least an additional 1/2 cup.
  2. Pour into a bowl and add desired toppings. We recommend mango, fresh berries, cacao nibs and/or coconut flakes.
