Frozen Mango Daiquiri Mocktail

January 27, 2020

Nothing says Aussie summer quite like a sweet, juicy mango.

Mangos are the perfect addition to smoothies, salads, salsas; and last but certainly not least, delicious summer mocktails like this Pineapple Mango Daiquiri Mocktail.

If you’re looking to swap that m in mocktail for a c to make a more classic daiquiri, simply add a few shots of premium quality light rum.

Aside from being insanely delicious, mangos are also bursting with nutrients.

The vibrant orange coloured flesh is an excellent source of antioxidants and vitamins A, C and E. All of which work to enhance:

  • immune function
  • connective tissue integrity
  • vision

They are also relatively low on the glycemic index which means they help to maintain healthy blood sugar levels!

Nexba Mango Daiquiri

The pineapple part of this mango daiquiri recipe comes from our Mexican inspired Pineapple & Coconut Tepaché.

It's a flavour fiesta made from fermented pineapples. Like all the drinks in our growing range, this one is sugar free, vegan-friendly and contains nothing artificial.

What’s more, this sweet, sparkling tepaché contains 500 million live probiotics (bacillus coagulans) per bottle. And it could just be the most delicious way to keep your gut health in check!

Why do we need probiotics?

Probiotics are live bacteria and yeast that promote healthy gut flora. Our gut is made up of a combination of both ‘good’ and ‘bad’ bacteria. Taking probiotic supplements or consuming probiotic-rich food and drinks can support our bodies’ production of good bacteria.

Our gut flora is impacted by so many things, including:

  • Traveller’s diarrhoea (aka ‘Bali belly’)
  • Tummy bugs
  • Taking antibiotics or ‘The Pill’
  • IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) or other chronic bowel disorders
  • Stress
  • A diet that’s… let’s face it… NOT as healthy as it could be.
