Naturally Brave Story - William Vaughan-Smith

by The Aussie Boys

What does it mean to be #NaturallyBrave? In celebration of the launch of Australia's first #NaturallySugarFree soft drinks, Nexba is sharing a series of Naturally Brave stories from the brave people who keep our beaches safe.

Our 11th story comes from William Vaughan-Smith - Bermagui SLSC

William Vaughan-Smith's Naturally Brave Story

Surf life savers join the movement for many different reasons, and for 20-year-old William Vaughan-Smith it was the chance to meet a variety of new people his own age that made him first join his local surf life saving club. Three years in, his efforts as Youth Coordinator for Bermagui SLSC won William the 2016 Far South Coast Lifesaver of the Year – a role that he took on to represent the youth movement within the club, as well as recruit young members to the club and help them get the most out of Surf Life Saving as he has.

Great initiative by William in encouraging the youth to get involved this summer!
