Tartar sauce pairs beautifully with so many seafood dishes. To name names, we highly recommend pairing this sauce with our Baked Sesame-Glazed Salmon.
You can prepare your own tartar sauce in a matter of minutes, and like most things, tartar is much better freshly made than from the store. It’s creamier and has a much fuller flavour. We’ve added some probiotic power to ours up by swapping lemon juice for our Nexba Elderflower & Lemon Kombucha. This gives it a subtle zing without being overpowering. Is there anything kombucha can’t do? We think not.
If you’re looking for a lighter option, you can swap traditional mayonnaise for a thick Greek yoghurt. Nothing wrong with a tzatziki-tartar hybrid!
