Açai Kefir Smoothie Bowl

The ever popular acai bowl is a treat to the tastebuds and a friend to our bodies.

Acai berries, the Brazilian super fruit, are jam packed with antioxidants, nutrients and minerals. With growing awareness of its vast health benefits, many people in the Western World have jumped on the acai bowl bandwagon.

Acai and Kefir Smoothie

Making açai bowls at home is the best way to know that you are actually getting in the nutrients of this antioxidant rich berry (rather than the cafe variety that is often laden with sugar). Ensure you choose unsweetened acai and good quality ingredients.

This one has the added health benefits of our new Nexba Strawberry and Peach Kefir! It is refreshing, delicious and fantastic for your health. Our kefir water is brewed over 6 days and fermented from real kefir crystals. To find out more about the health benefits of Kefir, read this article.

We’ve served this recipe as a smoothie bowl but to enjoy it as a smoothie, simply add more kefir water.
